Carl's Cafe was founded by Carl Ringwall in 1952, starting as a small lunch counter serving local factory workers. What began as a humble diner has grown into one of Owensboro's most beloved family restaurants.
Our world-famous chili recipe was developed by Carl himself, and the recipe remains a closely guarded family secret to this day. The same dedication to quality and home-style cooking that Carl established continues to be our guiding principle.
Today, the third generation of the Ringwall family continues Carl's legacy, serving the same great food that has made us an Owensboro institution for over 70 years.
